What is a G24 Light?
A G24 lamp is a Light with a G24 lamp base. G24 Bulbs are typically compact smd led bulbs and can directly replace for fluorescent lamps. There are two types of G24 lamp, G24d and G24q. The following is the chart of G24d and G24q.

G24d is G24 base with 2 pins. And G24q is G24 base with 4 pins. You can see the following chart to check their difference.
Which lamp base should we choose when we use G24 LED Bulbs to replace CFL G24 lamp?
It is very simple to use G24 LED lamp to replace the CFL G24 lamps. The lamp base of the G24 LED lamp does not have a nib. Hence it can fit into sockets well. You can use G24d led bulb to replace CFL G24 lamp with the base of G24d-1, G24d-2 and G24d-3. And you can use G24q led bulb to replace CFL G24 lamp with the base of G24q-1, G24q-2 and G24q-3. The G24 LED light can work with direct AC connections. It can also work with magnetic ballast. But they cannot work with electronic ballast. Hence for the G24q LED series, the original electronic ballast needs to be by-passed or removed.
How do I choose which type of G24 LED Light Bulbs to use?
Like R7S LED lighting,there are also two main types of G24 LED lamps. One is 360 beam angle and the other is 180 beam angle. If the lamp is required to provide light in all directions, then you can choose the G24 corn bulb which is 360 beam angle. If the lamp is required to light up only in one direction, such when the lamp is installed on the ceiling and is required to light up the floor, then a directional G24 LED lamp which is 180 beam angle is most suitable.
What variations of G24 LED lamps are there?
There are two main types of G24 series: G24d and G24q. The G24d series have two pins which are 24mm apart and work with magnetic ballasts.The G24q series have four pins and work with electronic ballast. The G24d-1 has a nib in the centre, and is usually 10W or lower. The G24d-2 has a nib to the left, and is usually 18W. The G24d-3 has a nib to the right, and is usually 26W. The G24q-1 has a nib in the centre, and is usually 16W or lower. The G24q-2 has a nib to the left, and is usually 22W. The G24q-3 has a nib to the right, and is usually 26W.
The following is the replacement data.
- G24 LED lam 5W = CFL G24 LED 10W
- G24 LED lam 9W = CFL G24 LED 18W
- G24 LED lam 13W = CFL G24 LED 26W
